Operator Guide

This guide is for operators who use Turqoa's Command Center to monitor gate transactions, review AI decisions, handle exceptions, and respond to security incidents. No technical or configuration knowledge is required.

Operator Role Overview

Operators are the human-in-the-loop for Turqoa's automated port operations. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring --- Watch live gate transactions and security feeds from the Command Center
  • Reviewing --- Evaluate AI decisions that require human confirmation (referred transactions)
  • Overriding --- Approve or reject transactions when the AI is uncertain or incorrect
  • Responding --- Handle security incidents, dispatch drones, and escalate threats
  • Documenting --- Record observations and justifications for audit compliance

Command Center Navigation

The Command Center is Turqoa's unified operator interface. It is organized into the following sections:

Shift Procedures

Starting a Shift

  1. Log in to the Command Center with your SSO credentials.
  2. Select Start Shift from the shift panel. This records your active shift in the audit log.
  3. Review the shift handover notes left by the previous operator.
  4. Verify all gate lanes show a green status indicator (cameras connected, AI models loaded).
  5. Check the Alert Queue for any unresolved items carried over from the previous shift.

During a Shift

  • Keep the Command Center dashboard visible at all times.
  • Respond to referred transactions within 60 seconds (SLA target).
  • Document any manual overrides with a brief justification.
  • Escalate security incidents per the incident response protocol.

Ending a Shift

  1. Resolve or reassign all pending items in your queue.
  2. Write shift handover notes summarizing key events, unresolved items, and any system issues.
  3. Select End Shift from the shift panel.
  4. Confirm handover with the incoming operator.

Note: All operator actions --- logins, shift changes, transaction decisions, and overrides --- are immutably recorded in the audit trail. This ensures full accountability and regulatory compliance.
